This chapter discusses Lord Strange’s Men’s travels and performance venues. The first dated notice of Strange’s Men on tour comes immediately following the Privy Council’s closure of theaters, from the Rye chamberlains’ accounts, a June 24 payment for a performance in the southeast port town near the Sussex–Kent border.
