In this chapter, Maya Plisetskaya focuses on her performances in the theater, especially at concerts. She made hundreds of trips to perform all over Russia, including dancing for the Kharkov Opera and in the birthday jubilee of Joseph Stalin's gardener, Ivan Michurin. She danced Zarema in Fountain of Bakhchisarai, as well as the Walpurgisnacht in Faust. She also began rehearsing the ballet Ruby Stars, staged by Leonid Lavrovsky. The Bolshoi Theater celebrated its 175th anniversary in May 1951.
