Commentary: 16 May 1913–6 March 1917, Sessions 189–292
This chapter comments on Emerson's case notes covering the period from 16 May 1913 to 6 March 1917. This portion of the case is the least well documented of its three parts; only Emerson's daily case notes were available from which to reconstruct its progress. For unknown reasons, Emerson concluded his published account of the case with Rachel's discharge from the Boston Psychopathic Hospital, even though she was back in treatment with him a mere two weeks later.
