Art Lets It All Hang Out
Art Lets It All Hang Out
This chapter gives a satirical look of the art world through the experiences of Calista Joad. She went to New York in an attempt to break into the arts. She finds that talent and creativity were unnecessary to work in the arts. Instead, the path to success was to get an agent, sue someone on a contingency basis, apply for a grant from some agency, or look up earlier art cases in Lexis-Nexis hoping to find an angle.
