This chapter examines the preparation for the Broadway production of Oklahoma!. It explains that the Theatre Guild already had copies of Oscar Hammerstein II's libretto and voice-piano scores of the songs composed by Richard. The chapter describes the out-of-town tryouts of the musical Theater in New Haven, Connecticut under the title Away We Go.
