This chapter summarizes the arguments of this book and highlights the important areas of study. It reviews the concept of juvenile delinquency and then examines the risk factors that contribute to delinquent behavior. It then discusses the juvenile justice system and the treatment interventions that had positive outcomes for juvenile offenders. Prevention programs that contributed to reduced delinquent behavior are also reviewed.
