This chapter examines the works of Sigmund Romberg performed in Hollywood. It explains that Romberg composed for four original film operettas including Viennese Nights, Children of Dreams, The Night Is Young, and The Girl of the Golden West. It suggests that these works can be closely related to Romberg's Broadway operettas in terms of overall aesthetic and musical style. This chapter also states that Romberg's stage works were also transferred to the silver screen and that there are eleven film adaptations of his operettas.
