This chapter examines Estelle Oldham's wedding to Cornell Franklin in April 1914. It explains that Franklin was the attorney general of the American Territory of Hawaii and the wedding was described by most as the most memorable wedding they ever attended. It also discusses Estelle's account that she spent the night before her wedding in tears because she was still in love with William Faulkner.
