This concluding chapter presents an assessment of Russia's contemporary land reform. It reviews the institutional design of Russia's land reform, the determination of limitation of the parameters of property rights, the liberal aspects of land reform, the reasons why Russia's contemporary land reform went awry, and the factors that have affected land reform outcomes. Finally, it discusses the future directions of Russia's land reform.
