This chapter narrates the events that led to the dissolution of the Communist International. Although the final decision to eliminate the Comintern was made hastily, the possibility of altering the organization was raised earlier. The cipher cable sent to the Communist parties by Dimitrov stated that the organization no longer met the development needs of the Communist Parties of individual countries.
